And Republicans are evil because they won't let the Democrats change any law that bothers them. They may try this nationwide to fire up their hardcore supporters, but it won't work. No one in Illinois gives a crap about a senate election in NJ. And, it might backfire and rile up GOP activists instead. As hutch has said, people understand the "bait and switch" line.

A guess this is the new Democratic policy. If the candidate is behind in the polls in the last month, replace him!
This is the same as the Florida voting mess - It you don't win - Ask for a recount, and another recount and then if you have not won, scream "Not all the votes were counted". Now they have a new one - "replace candidate if not winning in the polls".

We HAVE to get the fax numbers they might use...hehehee. Talk about an absolute mess. Faxing ballots? I can hear it now:
"The line was busy - I was disenfranchised"
"Our neighborhood is too poor to afford fax machines - I was disenfranchised"
"The fax machine ran out of paper and my vote was not counted on time - I was disenfranchised"

Here we go!
"What's in the voters best interest..."

I am a NJ voter and I voted for Torricelli in the primary (I have my reasons). I would not have voted for Lautenburg. What about my rights?" --"You've been disenfranchised, it's time to file a lawsuit, right now."
This sounds serious - something that should be persued, not as a joke, but as a realistic "voters rights" concern!

You know, if the GOP made an argument to replace a perceived losing candidate nominated earlier in the primary on grounds of a deficit in the polls, it'd be laughed out of the courthouse for even making the argument and being subjected to national scorn for trying to "fix" an election. Well then, why isn't it happening to the Democrats? That's basically what they're doing here and its all self-interested partisanship, not principle.
To: McLynnan
Justice rat says how can we "grease the skids". If they rule for the DNC this will go down in history.

Forrester attorney finally up.
To: McLynnan

LOL! The levity in the courtroom does not bode well for us.
Pubs up now. Levity portion of this hearing is now over. Will speak of actual law. Not allowable in NJ.
