It facinates me that such a discussion rages over a post that makes no sense. The US Supreme Court does not "appeal" anything. They hear appeals brought by parties. Linda Chavez may have opined that the Supremes will not choose to hear this, but they certainly can hear it if 4 Justices choose to. Further, decisions by the highest court in each state can be appealed to the US Supreme Court. The Supremes only choose to hear a tiny percentage of the cases that seek their attention.
Justice Souter will no doubt refuse to issue the injunction requested by the GOP, after which the question is whether the other Justices decide to hear the case and issue such an order. I think that is unlikely, even though the NJ decision was an offensive one.

Justice Souter will no doubt refuse to issue the injunction requested by the GOP ... Don't be too sure, this actually may come down to disenfranchisement issue(s) and there is plenty of SC case law to address.
