How is this any different than routine male infant circumcision taking place in the US? The babies are strapped down, given no anesthesia and then have a vital, nerve-rich, God-given piece of anatomy snipped off.

It is their practice *for religious reasons* no different than the practice of male circumcision originating *for religious reasons* as well.

I agree, the practice it totally barbaric (I can't imagine the pain involved as a conscious, aware female) but it is equally barbaric what goes on in the post-delivery time of newborn infant boys.

I'll bet that a fair amount of these people will, a few years after they arrive here, be much better off than they would have been in Africa. They will be able to take advantage of our fine democratic institutions to get ahead. One or two of them may even be millionaires in a couple of decades (I hear there is a big potential market in kat!). There will be Somali restaurants all over, Somali gangs, Somali ghettos, Somali congressmen and senators. Perhaps even one of their offspring will become president (should he or she be so lucky to have been born in the USA).

Ok bub. Male circumcision is a wise and practical thing. It prevents the spread of disease. It does nothing to take away one of God's greatest gifts, the pleasure felt when a man and woman join. There are few if any nerve endings in the foreskin. The clitoris is chalk full of nerve endings. Why not pull out her teeth? It would be less painful. With no anesthesia no less. BTW, it would be the same as male CASTRATION.

It is not at all "barbaric". The foreskin skin is not "nerve-rich" and has no effect on sexual pleasure, unlike the complete destruction of female sexual pleasure which follows female mutilation.
