This is truly amazing, if true. It does show at least three things:
First: Cinton's 'political brilliance'- he knows they do not have a snowballs chance in hell, so why not bring out Jersey's number one son? Hell, what do they have to loose?
Second - Clinton's utter distain for the American people. In essence he is saying I don't give a rats ass about who represents the people of N.J., as long as he is on our team.
Third - The utter desperation of the Democrats that they would stoop this low.

Heck, who knows? Sonny Bono did ok!

Even Bruce Springsteen wouldn't win a write-in contest.
The dumb-ass dems can't figure out how to punch a chad, much less remember to write in a candidate.
Springsteen is a Carol Mosely Braun.
Plus, he couldn't afford the pay cut.

This is so hateful of our nation, especially in this particularly tension filled times with our war upon terrorism, that for a disgraced ex president to suggest such a frivolous thing, simply to win, is not believeable. Surely this is a lie.

Torricelli must drown in his own vomit. He can't drop out of the race by state law.
Now, if he resigns from the senate, that might be a good thing.
There are lots of distractions and spins going on today.
Tell this to the NJ voters: Losers can't quit in hopes of finding a winner. Too late.
To: Michael.SF.
I think those of us here at FreeRepublic should energize the democrats into casting write-in votes for Bob Torricelli. There have to be a few Kool-Aid drinkers remaining who actually believe his protestations of innocence. Maybe we can convince them to waste their vote on the only democrat in NJ who could actually lose the election.

He can't drop out of the race by state law. Fred, are you saying that he can't, by state law, remove his name from the ballot, or, that his party can't replace him due to the lateness of the date?

Clinton must have been been frying himself in England over all the coke and weed, blasting out "Born to Run" at 160 db, when he came out with that one.

"Sonny Bono did ok!"
..ok at what? He failed in marriage, was a lousy politician, I never did like the way he sang, and he was a lousy skier.
To: gcruse
Heck, who knows? Sonny Bono did ok Yeah.............and where did he end up?????????/wrapped around a tree while skiing...........Suspect death if I ever heard of one..........brings to mind that Kennedy (Michael) who had an 'accident' on a family skiing outing after it had been revealed he had had an on-going sexual affair with an under age baby sitter.......Must be some death nell awaiting those politicians while enjoying the slopes...............Hmmmmm....I still think Sonny met his death at the hands of...........the democraps.........

The Rock Star President promotes a Rock Star Senator. Makes perfect sense to me.

Torricelli has to stay on the ballot; that's what I'm saying.
Ignore the distractions. Stay focused.
To: Fred Mertz
Now, if he resigns from the senate, that might be a good thing. contrare...............then the (Democrat)Governor can select a DEMOCRAP to take his place and there will be no November election, because the nominee will not be challenged until the NEXT election................How bizzare!

Sonny Bono did ok!
Sonny Bono did waaay beyond "ok". We're STILL naming stuff after him out here in his district. He was NOT a surprise to those of us that put him in congress.

Check the record on Sonny Bono....do a real in-depth study and report back tomorrow, ok? Your ignorance is showing.

You may add a Fourth point: This behavior (if true) is further proof that Bill Clinton is a text-book example of Anti-Social Personality disorder!
