"The laws of the state of New Jersey do not contain a 'we think we're going to lose so we get to pick someone new' clause," taunted Torricelli's challenger, Doug Forrester.

I heard that live on Hannity, totally unrehearsed off the cuff comment.

This is the political equivalent of "calling a do over"
If this fictional replacement for Torricelli doesn't excite the voters either, will the Democrats go the bullpen yet again?

Other possible replacements, Reps. Menendez, Rob Andrews and Frank Pallone, are members of the House, and relatively little known outside their own districts. And these replacements would create a "snowball" problem as they, in turn, would need to be replaced by someone else on the ballot. The Republicans tried this bait-and-switch nonsense against Schundler. It must be stopped before it gets even more out of hand.

Once again the Dems are trying to cheat the voters. But after you try to steal the US Presidency, what's the big deal about trying to steal a Senate seat?
