I don't watch these movies (not anymore; they're boring as hell). But the AFA is off its rocker on this one.

Don't they have something better to espouse?

Think of it this way: If they succeed, the popularity - and hence supply - of hotel broadband connections will increase.

The hotels will fight this. Those movies are extremely profitable.

There was a case some years back in Utah where a small-town video store owner was charged with stocking obscene material. He was able to defend himself on the grounds that similar videos were being shown at the local hotels.

Or do they suddenly become neurotic?

The AFA would do better to rent a Woody Allen movie.
