Right. I don't think they have a leg to stand on legal-wise...not that that's ever stopped them before!

Why do they fear the people !?!?!??!
To: Robert A. Cook, PE
It would be a different case: He resigns (within 30 days of the election, but WITHOUT the election having actually taken place) so that a new appointee is pushed in (Bradley, for example) who then stays in office rather than face the actual election ..... It seems to me that one has nothing to do with the other. McGreevey gets to appoint a replacement to serve between now and 1/03. In the meantime, the election goes forward as planned. If the RATs don't get a candidate on the ballot (other than the Torch) tough darts.

Why does the DNC have such a distain for the people ? ?

I see..your even talking to yourself now. Take a deep breath and do some dusting, you will feel better!! I am telling you this may not be so bad.

How likely is it the Dems will try monkey business through courts to get someone appointed for 2 years vs. election process? All they need to do is use the courts to get someone on the ballot. The consensus seems to be that Forester can lose this race against any names which have been thrown out.

I always had a soft spot for Traficant. At least you knew what you were getting up front.

Why do they fear the people !?!?!??! They don't. It's just easier to sidestep them when possible.

Briefly, what are the charges/allegations/investigations against Toricelli?

How likely is it the Dems will try monkey business through courts to get someone appointed for 2 years vs. election process? That appears to be the plan, if Torch resigns that is the plan. If he just drops out but doesn't resign that is not the plan. We'll have that answer in minutes.
To: ChadGore
You know the answer to that! Judge Nepolitano on FOX is agreeing with the NRSC email! Says the only legal option is to resign his senate seat.

CNN reporting many legal issues but if Gov. or Attorney General get involved, Paul Greenberg said "to be blunt, they are Democrats and a decision will favor the democrats".

Supposedly Bradley said No Way. The Dimwits are probably counter-offering now and offering him half of Atlantic City-- the other half goes to Torricelli.
Note: These election laws are written for decent folk to follow, we need to go over them with a fine-tooth comb and make them impervious to anti-American, election-cancelling BS.
These people make me want to PUKE. I hope that the rest of the country is watching...(Zell- weigh in on this one please).

Why does the DNC lothe the people ?!?
To: Robert A. Cook, PE
But see what happens IF Toricelli RESIGNS ... rather than gets beat in a real election. That is easy, the Gov appoints someone to fill out the term ending 1/03. The 11/02 election will determine who serves after that.
To: Peach
if Gov. or Attorney General get involved, Paul Greenberg said "to be blunt, they are Democrats and a decision will favor the democrats". Do they get to decide, or do the courts?
To: LisaFab
You know the answer to that! Judge Nepolitano on FOX is agreeing with the NRSC email! Says the only legal option is to resign his senate seat. Per Nepolitano, it is an UNTESTED law......
