I don't see Forrester allowing the rule to be waived.....I see a court challenge.

Thanks for the ping....another day of not getting anything done....The RATS are below contempt, I can't believe this....wait a minute I can, kinda reminds me of what the RATS did in Florida after the 2000 election.

Well, Ashcroft lost to a dead guy, so even if Torch quits, it's a little early to be dancing in the streets like Palestinians after a terror attack.
Im dancing and doing that annoying tongue-noise thing.
Its over. Forrester wins. Even if Torricelli withdraws his withdrawal ("well you don't have to get snippy about it"), its still over.
Ey-yi-yi-yi-yi-yi-yi-yi-yi-yi-yi-yi-yi-yi-yi-yi-yi-yi-yi-yi-yi!

The replacement will win.
It is absolutely maddening and crazy that NJ lets someone drop out of the race this late in the game.
The only good is not having the Torch in Congress anymore.......but we have NO chance of winning that seat now.....NONE. We better do good elsewhere if we are going to take back the Senate.
To: alisasny
thsi could be bad news for Forrester
the Governor is a Rat and will appoint a Rat to replace the Torch
if this happens then the seat is lost to us

I don't think he'll step down. He may withdraw from the race.

This is to easy for the Demorats to pull off. If your way behind in an election just resign and appoint another rat to take your place...This is bad news and could revive the Rats in NJ.

I've appreciated your reminding us that Stephanapoulos set up the questioning, allowing the traitors to state so directly that our president can't be trusted. But be encouraged. My husband, a democrat, saw all this and dispaired that they were all of his party. If they continue to pull these tricks, some of their party faithful will see the light.

...like Palestinians after a terror attack.Nice. I suppose now when people react to your inflammatory statement, you'll cry against the personal attacks. Jerk. (Go ahead, start crying.)

I believe that law is only applicable when the candidate is NOTup for reelection in the next election (this case), but is say up for election four years. It means that the appointed Senator would have to face re-election in the next possible cycle excepting for an election that is less than 30 days out.
That would mean an appointee would be the Senator until the election then if he is allowed on the ballot this late he would stand for reelection or if he can't be legally put on the ballot after the primary then he would be just holding the spot until the election.
My guess would be that the new appointee would be eligible to run as that's how the old school crookedass election laws seem to be written in a lot of these Eastern DemonRat controlled states.

Daschle, Leahy, Jeffords, and Kennedy must be staining their shorts right about now.
To: Howlin
I agree. I don't think he will resign but I'm still holding out hope he stays in the race. Now, I'm going to do some work around the house. Will check in later.

The deadline to replace Torricelli on the ballot was September 16th, but Democratic insiders say they believe there is still time to make a switch. Any change of candidates would have to be approved by a vote of the Democratic State Committee.

I am beyond sick right now. I have attempted to places several call to his offices and only got through once. Guess I will have to work on Corzine to tell them exactly what I think of their dirty tricks.
To: Oldeconomybuyer
Gut instinct tells me they are going to try to pull this off...what do you think??
