The last Category 3 hurricane to hit Houston was Alicia in 1983. It blew out glass in the skyscrapers and sent it crashing down on the streets below. Much of the town was without power for days.

We do not need a repeat.

I remember Alicia all too well. I got my roof peeled off and all my schtuff got drenched.

I came -->||<-- this close to staying there and riding it out. I guaran-darn-tee I will NEVER hang around in ANY hurricane -- EVER!
