Stupid Driver of the Day - car stuck in cement: "Sinking feeling"
Columbia (Missouri) Daily Tribune ^ | 9.28.02 | Michael McNamara photo

Posted on 09/28/2002 7:29:06 AM PDT by rface

Ron Snyder of Central Concrete sprays water in an effort
to prevent concrete from setting on a car that was driven
into a section of Fourth Street that was being repaired
yesterday afternoon. The car, driven by Remy Wagner of Columbia,
had to be winched out by a tow truck. Her dog Buddy was the only
passenger. The concrete set while the car was stuck in it, and
the section had to be replaced.

Her dog Buddy was the only passenger.

Her brain has been pre-donated to science.

If she was driving an evil SUV, this story would have made it onto CNN

If she had been driving a SUV with 4-wheel drive, there'd likely have been no story at all.

If it had been a SUV then she wouldn't have been at fault, SUV's get into trouble without the driver doing anything.

Nor my motorbike. Though the possibility of freshly-poured concrete of a depth over my head is an unsettling one, if more likely to be found in a RoadRunner/Wiley Coyote cartoon rather than a highway construction project area.
