A992 Establishes pharmacy's duty to fill prescriptions for in-stock drugs or devices without delay, notwithstanding sincerely held moral, philosophical or religious beliefs of pharmacist. *
2nd Reading in the Assembly
1/10/2006 Introduced, Referred to Assembly Health and Senior Services Committee Dear Assemblyman ________, Please oppose bill A992, a bill that establishes a pharmacy's duty to fill prescriptions for in-stock drugs or devices without delay, notwithstanding sincerely-held moral, philosophical, or religious beliefs of a pharmacist. This bill supposedly represents a compromise that allows for pharmacists to express their individual beliefs without denying New Jersey women access to legal, appropriately-prescribed medications. But we all know how this works. Once this bill is passed then subsequently others will be introduced that will entirely ban the pharmacist to practice his faith in the workplace. Yours truly, ________________

Recess Rally

We received the Town Hall Meeting information via an e-mail dated August 14 from AARP (specifically, AARP New Jersey, aarpnj@aarp.org ). In that e-mail, AARP tells recipients to "Support Health Care Reform!" Since PASCRELL HAS ALREADY VOTED FOR THE BILL IN COMMITTEE, AARP is clearly in support of Pascrell's vote -- despite the parent organization's official denial that they haven't endorsed any legislation. Also, when we called Pascrell's office, one of his associates told me that Pascrell is working with AARP to bus folks to the event -- another confirmation that on a de facto basis, AARP endorses Pascrell's vote in favor of ObamaCare, no matter what AARP claims. And of course, that Pascrell is choosing to disseminate notice of his town hall meeting via AARP, rather than his own websites, also shows how closely Pascrell and AARP are working together to ram more socialism down our throats. AARP's weaselly actions are yet another reason that pro-liberty Americans should drop (or refrain from renewing) their membership from this dishonest lobbying group.
* Clearly, Pascrell is attempting to influence the Town Hall Meeting so that supporters of socialist health care schemes make up as high a proportion of the attendees as possible. LET US MAKE SURE THAT WE SHOW UP IN GREAT NUMBERS TO SPOIL HIS PLANS!!!
* Pascrell's campaign website shows his belief that "health care is a right." Pascrell is wrong; health care is NOT a right. If it were a right, then any individual could FORCE a health-industry worker (doctor, nurse, etc.) to provide the care, and FORCE somebody else (for example, peaceful and economically productive citizens -- a.k.a. taxpayers) to pay for it. Doctors, nurses, and taxpayers ARE NOT SLAVES. There is no such thing as the "right to health care" because there is no such thing as the "right to enslave" those who provide it and those who pay for it.
* Although free speech includes angry speech, please DO NOT disrupt the Town Hall Meeting in any way that prevents peaceful discourse (for example, joining in a multi-person chant which drowns out whomever is speaking).
* Please be aware that the Town Hall plans could change at any time -- particularly if Pascrell decides he lacks the courage to face pro-liberty Americans like you and me. If you become aware of any changes, please let us know, so that we can change our Tea Party Protest plans accordingly.
*** FORWARD THIS INVITATION ON TO ALL OF YOUR PRO-LIBERTY FRIENDS AND FAMILY!!! ***
I look forward to seeing you -- and your pro-liberty friends and family! -- at Montclair State on Thursday, September 3!
