Just heard on the top of the hour news...that the little girl turned over to the foster family MAY not be her daughter!
SO where is the little beaten up Toogood girl?

Freeper Irish Queen has posted that her grandmother grew up in one of these groups, and she's as anti-Traveler as any poster I've heard.

My husband told me today that there is a story being batted around that there are actually 4 different men who pose as Saddam Hussein (in public, as caught on news footage). He said they have 'proved" this by facial recognition software. There are 400-odd points of recognition on the face that the software uses.
Wonder if that could be used in this instance?

Thanks for the info. This certainly would explain the lack of bruises on the child. I'd have a hard time on a jury convicting someone of a felony against a child when the child had absolutely no signs of injury.
I thought about moving to houston about 3 years ago, but the company I interviewed was real cheap in their offer. It's too bad cause the guy I interviewed really wanted me on his team and his HR tied his hands.
Oh, well, perhaps I'll give her another go in a few years. I bet there's a job or 2 for a EE like me down there....

You're welcome!
I've been here since 1977...and still like it.

I saw the complete video of the beating a few nights ago and noticed something that I have not heard mentioned before.
Two women and two children are shown walking to the white SUV. As they arrived at the SUV one woman and child is shown going in front of the SUV and the other to the left side(Madelyne & daughter). Then we see the widely shown video of Madelyn and her daughter as they approach the left rear of the vehicle. If you look real close you can see the light change in the rear just after the beating started. This was apparently the other woman (sister?) opening the right rear door to put the other child in the right rear seat. The sister was obviously a witness to this whole incident and no attempt to help the little girl is evident. Or perhaps the sister was doing a number on her child.

I know Paul. I agree absolutely. To EVER hit a child is wrong. I couldn't even watch that video when they first showed it on television. Then, of course, they showed it over and over and over again....until it made me...and I'm sure others...numb. Just numb. The media sucks. It showed that video more I think than the 9/11 attacks. What they should be showing over and over and over again are the people who were forced to jump from the World Trade Center Towers. After hearing about this woman and "mother" for days and days and days, I was just waiting for them to come up with the angle of the "poor discriminated against Irish Travelers". And they did. And it is absolutely sickening.

I thought the mom in the tape and the one who turned herself in looked like two different people also. Why didn't the cops get it?

What the **** has that got to do with anything?
I'm baffled. Usually your responses are reasonable, but you came out of left field--on the moon--with that one.
