Why the hell did this guy agree to a debate sponsored by the NAACP? That's like a Demo'rat agreeing to a debate sponsored by Free Republic in hall filled with angry Freepers.

Ehrlich is an optimistic, non racist guy. He has easily been reelected to congress numerous times in a district with only 37 percent republicans. He figured he would get a fair shot.

"You are against affirmative action because it shouldn't Be about race. Well, lynching was about race, prejudice is about race, AFFIRMATVE ACTION WILL BE ABOUT RACE."

it could just sink her campaign.

I agree. It may have been a strategic blunder for Ehrlich to agree to KKT's conditions for debate. Unfortunately, not many people saw the debate, which would have sparked sympathy for him. And, the MD voters are only hearing the liberal press spin of the debate praising KKT. This disaster may be the turning point in the race? Time will tell.
