I never heard his father, Billy, ever say one negative word against any other belief.
Not publicly, but like father like son...
Graham: "This stranglehold [Jews' control of the media] has got to be broken or the country's going down the drain,"
Nixon: "You believe that?"
Graham:"Yes, sir,"
Nixon: "Oh, boy, so do I. I can't ever say that but I believe it."
Graham: "No, but if you get elected a second time, then we might be able to do something."
Later...
Graham: "And they're the ones putting out the pornographic stuff."
Later...
Graham: "A lot of the Jews are great friends of mine. They swarm around me and are friendly to me. Because they know I am friendly to Israel and so forth. They don't know how I really feel about what they're doing to this country."
I used to think that Billy Graham was one of the only decent Christian leaders around. But I couldn't care less what he or his family says now. Yeah, Billy apologized. But if he's sincere, what does that say his about earlier comments? Was he wrong?
I'm not going to dispute the fact that there are some radical Muslims out there that want to destroy us. 9/11 proved that without a shadow of a doubt. But all this fear mongering is sheer stupidity. Franklin has no credibility.

Muslims account for two percent of the American population. Please see post #11 for what this country will face in just a few short years. When my child is my age, this is what she and her generation will have to deal with here.

>Oh, really, Prof. Ayoub? How about this: Along with Communism, Naziism, and the Black Death, Islam has been responsible for more death and destruction on the face of the planet than anything since the last asteroid impact. Islam was started by predators. It has spread by predation. It has lived off the decaying corpses of the civilizations it has destroyed. It is a vast, ancient sea of corruption, oppression, fanaticism, and ignorance lapping against the shores of the present, kept alive by the fortuitous accident of living above huge reserves of petroleum.Excellent observation which bears repeating! And it comes like its father to steal, to kill and to destroy.
Joh 10:10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

Franklin Graham BUMP A leader, a speaker of the truth
Muslim converts from jail are taught an extreme, angry "version" of the "religion of peace"... And I have not forgotten that the people who murdered my own lived amongst us for years, in our communities, neighborhods, apartments, shopped with us at our stores, had American "friends," relationships...

Well then, don't listen to Franklin Graham. Listen to any number of others who speak the truth about islam.
It's not fear-mongering. One shouldn't discount the truth just because the messenger is unacceptable.
Take a look at this link al taqiyya which has a lot of information about why we should not believe what moslems in general say to us about jihad.
But don't ignore the truth because you don't like Graham.

Thanks for that! Some people do the work and others talk about it.

Have you never badmouthed a friend in a conversation with someone in a position of power? Not even once in your entire life?
Billy Graham apologized, and that's good enough for me. When someone sincerely apologizes, I am honor bound to lay the matter to rest and not bring it up again.

Islamic violence against non-muslims has become so commonplace that 7 christians in Karachi were found tied to their chairs and shot through the head by slaves of Allah yesterday, and it's only a tiny blurb in the news. Everybody yawns, Nobody's outraged, even on FR.

" Muslims account for two percent of the American population." It isn't the percentage at the moment that is being referred to, it's the fact that very high rates of immigration multiplied by extremely prolific birth rates = very big changes in a very few decades. The actual rate of "conversion" to Islam in the US remains quite small, but with these other 2 factors in play, Islamic politics will undoubtedly play a big role in US life in the fairly near future.
I live and work in the Chicago suburbs, and believe me, some of these large apartment complexes already have Islamic majorities, (making for less and less assimilation)and in some towns, more people are going to mosque than to church.

Will I think the USA IS being islamacized, I hear you on the contrast between Franklin and his Dad.
What I think is very sad, is that there are not many churches making serious efforts to evangelize the muslims here in the US. This population is young, curious, looking for a way to blend "conservative" values with liberty and not captive to political tyranny. What an opportunity. And we are missing it.

>>Nobody's outraged, even on FR.
We have become so numb to massacres all around the world that recent atrocities in India, Israel and even Christians in Pakistan barely cause a ripple or deflect us from the burning issues of teenagers having sex.
This is what the jihadis have done to us.

Billy's comments with Nixon bothered me a lot, too (my wife is Jewish), and I tried to figure out how he could have been saying such things. Finally I came to the following conclusion:
Maybe he was speaking in a larger context, but a narrower scope. The fact of the matter is that Hollywood, TV, popular culture and the news media have all been highly secularizing, coarsening and morally corrosive influences in our society, and these "institutions" have an extraordinarily high level of participation by Jews, albeit, NON-religious Jews. Maybe he was somehow refering to these folks as "Jews" since Jews have been so commonplace among them.
It reminds me of the conundrum of the New Testament, in which "the Jews" is a group aften cast in a negative light, whereas "the people" are spoken of much more positively---yet "the people" are the JEWISH people!

A Pakistani Mullah said on "60 Minutes", "One day, God willing,we will live to see the flag of the Islamic Nation flying on top of America's buildings." A Muslim (American citizen) student said at a Muslim student forum at the College of Staten Island (NYC) a week after the attacks of Sept. 11: "It is the duty of every Muslim to struggle for Islam to DOMINATE the world." We dominate. You submit. We are Masters. You are Slaves. This is what Muslims are doing to Christians right now in the Sudan. We've seen Muslim FBI agents refuse to investigate their fellow Muslims. Some Muslim collge students in ROTC have said they could not fight for us against a Muslim nation. Muslim Americans can never be loyal to this country (or any other non-Muslim nation). Their religion dictates that they be loyal only to THE ISLAMIC NATION (The Nation Of Islam).

God Bless Franklin Graham, he "gets it" and is not afraid to speak the truth.
To: knighthawk
No criticism of Franklin directly rebuts his points.
To: crazykatz
Islam is false.
Any questions?

"I'm not saying Muslims are saints, but nor are Christians."There's no such thing as a true, regenerate Christian that isn't a saint. And it should be, "neither are," not "nor are."
