The heir to the British throne is getting roundly criticized for expressing his politically incorrect opinions in a spate of letters to government officials.
In one letter leaked to the media, Prince Charles sided with tens of thousands of protestors from rural England who opposed a ban on fox hunting and were attacked by Britain's leftist establishment.
In a letter allegedly written to Prime Minister Tony Blair, Charles is said to have written that British farmers would face less discrimination if they were gay or black.
Huffed Ian Davidson, a Labor legislator from Glasgow "Let's not kid ourselves that Prince Charles is a representative of ordinary people. This is someone who was born with a mouthful of silver spoons, a mega-wealthy farmer who's looking for things to do so he fires off letters." If Charles, he added " wants to be involved in politics, then he should consider standing for election."
Those remarks also infuriated gays and blacks and members of Britain more effete liberal population, but that was just the beginning.
Other letters reportedly surfaced, including some to Lord Irvine, Britain's lord chancellor and a close ally of Mr. Blair. In one of a number of missives sent Lord Irvine's way, the prince wrote "I and countless others dread the very real and growing prospect of an American-style personal injury `culture' becoming ever more prevalent in this country. Such a culture can only lead, ultimately, to an atmosphere of distrust and suspicion, let alone the real fear of taking decisions that might lead to legal action."
He also took a sideswipe at political correctness, writing about "the degree to which our lives are becoming ruled by a truly absurd degree of politically correct interference." He cited as an absurd example of PC cutting down chestnut trees in eastern England last year because of the alleged danger that falling chestnuts might hurt somebody.
According to the New York Times, the latest of his letters to come to light involved such issues as the European Convention on Human Rights, rules covering military training exercises and care volunteers in private homes, increasing litigiousness among Britons and the growing intrusiveness of unnecessary social regulation.

Prince Charles was smart enough to dump Diana, the silliest woman ever to emerge from Britain's aristocracy, and he's only confirming my esteem for him.

If he ran and won an election for Prime Minister as a prince (Monarchy) do the brits have a protocol sorting that out?

Hey Chuck, nice work on that marriage, sport. Glad to see you're not throwing any stones around glass houses.

Interesting how Brit hopefuls stand for elections and we run for 'em.
To: Lil'freeper
Not the DemonRats, they plan how to cheat in elections!
To: Tumbleweed_Connection
Too bad we don't have a monarchy so that a guy like Charles could disolve our silly PC non-white a$$ kissing government and start all over.

I always thought we'd be better off under a monarchy than under 'democracy'. Preferably, under a monarch like Marcus Aurelius or Elizabeth I.

Very welcome comments from Prince Charles. A lone voice of sanity. Well done, old boy!

Aristocracy in general is silly, but let the dead lie where they may. Good for Charles - but his relationship with Diana has nothing to do with the topic.

Oh, I'm not so sure about that, Bostonma. The Cult that built around the vapid Diana was a symptom of a Britain that went off-track. Insipid emotionalism was something new to British public life, and I don't think it was a good thing. But that's just my opinion...carry on, everyone, at least we can agree about the Prince of Wales being correct on THIS issue!

Hear, hear. At last the disgust of Englishmen being turned into Euroweenies gets its voice.

That is the way to be, Bonnie Prince Charlie. Not too bad for a Brit.

Bet he is not in favor of the serfs owning their own varmint rifles and taking care of the fox problem themselves...
