I don't know about the black garter with the pink rose thing. But I do know now that we have a chance to break an Angel curse - they clinched their slot today. So did the A's, the A's clinched the division (call it the ream of the sinking Mariners if you must) today in extra innings. Meaning the Angels get the Yankees to start the postseason. For the first game in Anaheim, the Angels ought to arrange Dave Henderson himself to throw out the first ball - wave the bloody monkey in his face! And if the A's get to the Series? Have Kirk Gibson throw out the first ball in Oakland!
