The gods of baseball have been a lot more cruel than a last moment Angels collapse. (Just ask us Mets/Red Sox fans.) But I say again - the only way for the Angels to avoid the collapse is to quit trying to play the other guy's game and get back to playing Angelball. They can beat these guys: they've been pretty even with the Mariners all year, and you've got to account for a deeper-sinking team who didn't expect to sink but is playing for an awful lot of pride right now. The Angels can't let that get into their heads. Just play Angelball. It worked all season until last weekend in Seattle.
