The Brewers would be a prime candidate for contraction if Bud Selig did not own the team. Although they have an absolutely beautiful new park, the people of Wisconsin are just not that interested. They are much happier sitting in a shack on a frozen pond in the dead of winter with a fishing line sticking through a hole in the ice than watching a baseball game. The Brewers have no chance to be competitive no matter who they bring in to run things.

What has me worried are reports from the boards at Brewerfan.net that there might be a shakeup fo the scouting staff - right now, that seems to be one area where things are going well and no changes are really needed - at least on the minor league side.
