AL GORE, remarkably, has stepped into a leadership vacuum and said several things that most congressional Democrats may well believe but have been too fearful to utter. I hope more and more reporters say stuff like this before the election. This way the undecided and moderate voters will break toward the republicans.

Sigh, where's the Neville Gore photos when you need them...

Being a conservative against the war with Iraq- I find anyting this despicable man says to be irrelevant. In fact- any democrat who opposes the war does so out of impure motives and just outright hatred for America. Gore made this speech because it will electrify the disgusting miscreants who make up the base of the Democratic party and nothing more. The man is a disgrace and utterly irrelevant.

"...It almost doesn't matter. The party's standard bearer for 2000 - who got more votes than George W. Bush - has now made it safe for Democrats to express serious doubts about this reckless war..." LOL!
It still eats at them!
Thank GOD for the wisdom of the Founding Fathers.

President Gore has issued the following statement:
In light of recent intelligence showing that Saddam Hussein has continued to develop Weapons of Mass Destruction, in violation of U.N. sanctions, I have by executive order, authorized the immediate and total destuction of every....single....aspirin factory in Iraq

"...But others see the nation pursuing a disastrous course. Why am I not surprised that this article will not support the contention
Many Democrats in Congress say privately [who, to you?] (and a few publicly) that they've heard nothing in the confidential intelligence briefings to indicate that Saddam Hussein is more of a threat now than in years past.
So what? And who was in charge in the past?
Congressional Democrats got a closed-door briefing from a worried and extremely skeptical Zbigniew Brzezinski, President Carter's hawkish national security adviser. Worried and skeptical about what? He's a big mouth, why not express concerns publicly? Who's dole is he on? Saudi funding? And what the f does he know about the middle-east, he's Mr. Blowback!
This morning Democrats are scheduled to have a another confidential briefing from one of the party's foreign policy eminences, Richard Holbrooke, who is said to harbor grave doubts.
Eminence. Let's bow to this retread!
