You are grasping for straws. I don't know of any mother who if she was REALLY worried about what happened to her child who would not take them to the LOCAL emergency room. Good grief..my son had a broken leg a couple months back and believe me they will grill you just to be sure that child got it from an accident and we didnt find it necessary to drive several hundred miles away to have it attended to. The fine doctors who took care of my son was in no doubt in one of the states she passed through--Ohio. I'm sure there are plenty of fine doctors in the Michiana area who she could have taken this child too for God's sakes. I don't hear of people flocking to Vermont just to have a pediatrician care for their child. She was on the lamb(sp) you fool! This defense of this criminal(and I say that aside from the beating incident) is outrageous. If this is conservatism, I'm ashamed to be associated with it.

How do you know she wasn't sick before she was taken into foster care. When someone gets the flu, it usually starts with feeling a little under the weather (in the case of a small child, manifesting just as acting crankier than usual), then starts to seem like just a cold, and then progresses to flu. If she's got full-blown flu just a couple of days into foster care, she almost certainly had the beginnings of it beforehand -- maybe the result of weakened resistance from being dragged across several states over 8 days and getting little sleep, as her mother attempted to flee police.

First they take her from a loving mother who only beat the living crap out of her from the pure and wholly understandable frustration we all feel when the store won't give us a cash refund for the clothes we stole last week, and now they make her sick.

You've been pretty damned twisted about this case all week. I just don't get it. As a father I've spanked my kids, but I never came close to the kind of assault every one but you seems to have witnessed. She's an unfit mother. Case closed. No, I don't need more evidence. I don't WANT more evidence, since more evidence could well be a dead kid. Would THAT satisfy you?
