No bruises doesn't sound life threatening to me, which is the usual basis for removal from home situation.

"Rocket" Rosen, Madelyn Toogood's attorney, said that she is prepared to plead guilty to felony battery and throw herself on the mercy of the court.

Felony battery is grounds for removal from the home.

As I said, only when someone arbitrarily decides that it is grounds. other times apparently it is not grounds so we must wait and see if CPS likes her attitude enough to let her have her child back.
