I wasn't "stereotyping". I myself am 5/8th Irish, and I bear no hostility whatsoever to my ethnic kin (or anyone else's) who were driven to nomadism by the misfortunes of centuries past. BTW, one of my nephews is an adopted orphan Russian Roma boy -- and a really great kid.

I didn't mean that you were stereotyping anyone in your post. I'm leery of stereotyping in general, and there's quite a bit of it being done on the television shows and other media outlets. I just think we should all give each other the benefit of the doubt, since we're all guilty of something. Or so I've been told.

Irish Travellers belong to a distinct ethnic group within Ireland. Base on this, (from the link in post 40) they are not our ethnic kin after all.
