UTRECHT (ANP) - All kids must be required to learn Turkish or Moroccan, next to Dutch and English, at the primary-school. This was recorded in a manifesto 'Samen naar de talenschool' (together to the languageschool), that was signed bij dozens of education- and language-experts.

Languageschools are required to teach Turkish and Moroccan within the regular hours. The implementation must be checked by the schools inspectorate. The manifesto was send Tuesday to minister Van der Hoeven of Education.

The Balkende-led government is planning the opposite: to disband the immigrants language-lseeons for children of immigrants. The people who signed the manifesto, amongst them Z. Arslan of the multicultural organization 'Forum', think that it's not a good plan to do so.
