Janet Napolitano, running for Governor of Arizona against former Congressman Matt Salmon, has dusted off the old claim that the Republicans voted to "slash $270 billion from Medicare" in her latest attack ads, when of course the Republicans voted to increase Medicare by 6% annually.

And in North Carolina, several stations have pulled ads sponsored by the state Democratic Party that said Republican Senate candidate Elizabeth Dole would "gamble" Social Security money in the stock market

I can't believe the Bowles' radio ads I have heard here in central NC. I counted at least 5 distortions or out-right lies in the last one. I wonder why the stations would run these, if they checked they would see how distorted they are.
