Eric Hogue PAY THE BRAIN BILL The Eric Hogue Show is fast-paced, conservative talk radio that challenges every listener to think and reason with the local headlines of the day.
Eric calls it real talk on real issues with real people. Yes, political at times, but always talking about the current events and local issues of the day, Eric approaches each topic by forcing listeners to 'pay the brain bill'.Each morning on 1380 KTKZ, Eric Hogue will cause you to join the Sacramento talk by being mad or glad, conversational or argumentative, agreeable or outraged and willing to engage the debate. Being a news and cultural events junkie with an uncanny ability to sift each issue down to a moral plumb line, Eric adds enough of his own moral (conservative) opinions and positions to invite all persuasions of political prowess.
After you have listened to 'The Eric Hogue Show' for any length of time, you will also get to know Eric and his wife of 13 years, Tammy, and their two lovely daughters. Each family member is a regular point of reference for issues involving the traditional family, marriage and the home. Politics, issues and headlines aren't Eric's only interest. He is an avid sports fanatic, as Hogue has served as the football and basketball play-by-play voice for the University of Akron, Kent State University, FOX Sports Ohio and ESPN regional NCAA Basketball Tournament games in Northeast Ohio.
Eric began his radio career at the age of 16. After numerous stints as a 'morning disc-jockey' for music intensive radio stations, Eric switched to talk radio in 1989 on WHBC in Canton, Ohio. Before coming to 1380 KTKZ, Hogue hosted 'The Eric Hogue Show' during weekday afternoons on Cleveland's WHK AM-FM. The show was tagged as the fastest growing talk show in Northeast Ohio and Western Pennsylvania.
Eric hopes to hear from you on the new talk of Sacramento, 'The Eric Hogue Show', talk, information and conversation that is 'live and local' only on 1380 KTKZ.... You can e-mail Eric at: eric@ktkz.com
Perhaps we can get him to join our FReep! Here is the e-mail that I sent to him (and John Campbell, and Eric Hogue):
Hi, Hugh! (and John, and Eric!)
I just found out (from newbie FReeper Eric Hogue of KTKZ) that you will be in Sacramento on FRIDAY (10/18):
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/755965/posts
Can you re-arrange your schedule to attend Free Republic's state-wide "Dump DAVIS" rally in Sacramento on SATURDAY (10/19)?Our exact plans are not yet finalized, but FR founder Jim Robinson is scheduled to be there, and we WERE planning for about FIFTY (50) hardcore FReepers from all across California to meet on the Capitol steps on Saturday (10/19) from noon to 4 pm.
If we can get YOU (and John, and Eric, and KTKZ) to help us promote this, it could grow to the size of Rush's "Dan's Bake Sale!"
Who knows? We could have HUNDREDS of crazy Republicans show up in Sacramento! If you CANNOT be there, we will understand.
Eric sounds like a good guy to know, and the local KTKZ folks should very supportive either way - we hope.My intention is to get a GIANT dump truck parked in front of the Capitol building, and get some BIG TIME media attention - with FReepers dressed as sanitation workers dumping me (dressed as a male prostitute, the "eGray Hooker") into a dumpster...
Plus, we can have speakers. And a "call to action" for last minute Get Out The Vote efforts. And food. And music.
And perhaps HUGH HEWITT as the Master of Ceremonies???We MAY even get Bill Simon to stop by - for a while.
(Still working on that one.)Plus, I understand that if we get a FRiendly Congressman - like John! - to "sponsor" this rally, the Capitol building will allow us access to power and sound equipment. (Plus John's connections in the car business could help us borrow a giant DUMP TRUCK!)
This COULD BE the event that catalyzes Bill Simon's final push to victory!
What say you, Hugh? John? Eric?
Can you help us "Dump DAVIS?"Thank you,
RonDogmy real name, address and telephone number
PS - I no longer live in Newport Beach - sorry, John - but MANY FReepers who DO live in your district will be at the rally.
PPS - As warm-ups to this BIG "Dump DAVIS!" FReep in Sacramento, we will be holding SMALLER FReeps as follows:
Sunday (9/29) - outside the Barbra Streisand/DNC fundraiser: "Keep the Hookers in Hollywood, not Sacramento!"
Monday (9/30) - before the Bill Simon speech at the Nixon Library at noon, and
Monday (10/7) - before the Simon/Davis debate at the L.A. Times building at noon.(Plus more - whenever we can track down a Gray Davis fundraiser...)
