There is good cause to have a City Alliance for townies to march on the country asking for affordable housing, decent public transport, fredom from burglary, mugging, drug dealers, the unemployed hanging around city centres, horse shit on the roads, the right to shoot cats and dogs in the street as sport, the right to occasionally see a uniformed policeman, lower rates, decent education at all levels, house calls by doctors, A & E departments not infested with the drunk and thr drugged, decent roadsurfaces, good lighting of walkways, more and better public libraries, civil servants and decent dinner ladies. Freedom from fridge mountains, and abandoned cars. Clean, punctual, low cost, reliable public transport.
