I will accept your qualifications as legal counsel to Eugene McCarthy in 1976. Was he off drugs by that time? As legal counsel, was it your position to advise the candidate as to when he broke the law or was it to advise where he can break the law. Interesting that a candidate would need a lawyer before he is elected. I only thought they needed them after they had been in office for awhile
I will give you credit for your affiliation with Jim Anderson. I admired him and respected him. Too bad not many others did. It's that darn (R) label again.
I too have worked for candidates in the past, started when I was 10 handing out fliers for Tom Dewey, 1948. Haven't been on the winning side too many times, but I tried. Maybe with less importance than youself, but I tried.
My original post was in response to Jim Robinsons' post telling us all that we should get behind the republicans because the democrats are so evil. Jim never did respond to my comments other than a link to some website on candidates, so I had to assume that my comments fell on deaf ears and had little impact. Then you insinuated yourself into the conversation and proceeded to tell me that I should accept that all candidates are less than what I want and get over it. I'm sorry, I can see coming from your position, lawyers being morally and ethically challenged, where that may be the case, but not for me. Principles, ethics and morals are what build great societies, they're what built this society and it is people like yourself who have delivered us to where we are today.
Good night, sir.
Ease up while Congressman Billybob is fighting CFR (as he did in the seventies) you are just attacking a good man based on his profession. I guess there is no hope for those who are only happy whining.
This ping is for a bookmark. I have GOT to see the reply to that assinine remark.
You have NO idea who you are speaking to.
