IRANIAN MILITARY DRAFTS PLANS AGAINST U.S.

NICOSIA [MENL] -- Iran has reported that its military has drafted plans to repel any U.S. attack.

Officials said the military's plans have already undergone simulations and exercises to ensure their feasibility. They said the military has proposed coordinated efforts by the army, navy and air force to form a rapid-response unit.

One scenario, officials said, is that the United States would launch an attack along the Iranian-Afghan border to flush out Al Qaida insurgents. Washington has accused Teheran of harboring hundreds of Al Qaida members who fled from Afghanistan.

"For America's recent threats, plans have been prepared which are being studied and completed," Iranian army commander Maj. Gen. Mohammed Salimi said. "The contexts of the plan to confront American threats by moving ground, air and naval forces of the army and carrying out drills, tests and war games have been prepared."

I guess the Iranians are brushing up on how to send their brainwashed defensless boys charging enemy machine gun nests while screaming "Allah-U-Akbar".

They're probably trying to decide which "surrender model" to emulate, the Italian, or the French?

Is this an inadvertant Iranian admission that there are al Qaeda holing up in Iran?

Methinks the Iranian Navy won't be of much use on that border.

It sounds like they don't question our ability to take on multiple fronts at the same time :)

Moving troops and having war games will not stop America, this must sound thin to even the Iranians. A lot of terrorists are not sleeping well at night now a days...

"Iran has reported that its military has drafted plans to repel any U.S. attack.

Is the foolishness underlying this statement as apparent to everybody else as it is to me? You can't make this up. Hmmm. A bunch of camel jockeys, fresh from a slumber in their pee-stained sheets, their bellies full, after a breakfast consisting of a turd-burger, having kissed their beloved sheep or camel goodbye, head off to war, armed with sticks against an onslaught of airstrikes, naval gunfire, cruise missiles, tanks, bradleys, and infantrymen supported with close air support and artillery.

In other news, plans have been drafted for the Titanic to defeat the iceburg.

Well, I guess they can't really come out and say they are shakin in their booties.. but.. gimme a flippin break!

This is like a guy standing outside a cave with a stick saying, "I have studied the possible entry and exit points of this cave and have prepared for any scenario" .. all I got to say is: bearfood.

One quick question, where exactly are those tanks and bradlies coming from? Afghanistan? Hardly. Nope, just light infantry. Reality is, the US military is stretched damn thin and the only way your dreams of glory are going to happen is if you and everyone else volunteers to go fight or the draft is reinstated...and then watch the fun on the streets of America. It's easy to scream bomb and attack them, when your own hide is not on the line or that of your darling little Johny.

As well they shouldn't. Afghanistan took surprisingly little and we've been dabbling in the Phillipines and Yemen and elsewhere all along. We can always let Germany pull some weight in the Balkans if we need to pull troops from there, maybe that would change their tune, LOL.

But the Iranians can deal with this one on their own, they are capable of taking their own country back from the mullahs; if not, we are going to have to take out that nuke plant.

Not to fear, they buy their combat boots from the same supplier, you know, the ones with 'reverse gears' built in? Tanks come from the same place too, with one forward and five reverse gears.

First of all the stretched thin myth has been dispelled by Rumsfeld on several occassions. Just because we have troops all over the world doesn't mean they're busy. They are training.. training for war. And this is war! Or did you miss that little development downtown NY about a year ago? The tried and true, "it aint your skin on the line" argument is something people with low testicular fortitude say to allay their feelings of inadequacy on others. I served as did many freepers. For you to presume that the person making the statement didn't is not very statistically observant.

And even if that person hasn't served, and even if his little Johnny wont serve and even if it is YOUR butt on the line (though I'll presume it isn't just to be fair).. but even if these factors were so, what is so wrong about calling on the military in a time of war? 3000 innocent Americans were slaughtered like lambs with absolutely no warning nor provocation. Do you think Americans should only die while being cut down like sheep? Or is it possible that we could grow a pair and take it to those bleep-bleeped Islamofascist bleeping bleepers?

If I was this Persian general, I would be more worried about his own population than us.

I suggest the best plan is to get their affairs in order and kiss their own rears goodbye.
