The double standard is pretty clear and evidenced regularly with these cases.
Maybe, maybe not. Some people take relationships between adult males and minor females pretty lightly. Especially if they are "really in love." I know of at least one case where a high school teacher married one of his students right out of high school. They had already had a long relationship in high school that they kept under cover.
Society has come to condone adult minor relationships. As I understand the numbers, the younger an unwed, pregnant girl is, the older the father is likely to be. The father in a substantial number of teen/minor pregnencies is a legal adult (and I don't mean 19, but mid twenties and on.)
A male molesting a minor male, or a female molesting a minor female would get the harsest treatment in court.
Or it would get a broadway play made about it.
