I'm having trouble figuring out where you stand. Would you or wouldn't you call the police if you heard a neighbor beating their child for hours on end? Yes or no?

If I knew for certain that a child was being beaten hour after hour, then yes I would call authorities, but I'm not going to call authorities when a child is getting a spanking for doing wrong.

There's a big difference between discipline and abuse.
