I don't consider you the enemy.

Look, I worry about my son all the time. Is he eating right? Does he get along with others at Mother's Day Out(5 hours 2 days a week). Will he get very sick with a bad disease. Is he developing properly. How will he react to his soon to be little brother.....I could go on and on.

Now I have to be aware of all the busybody strangers (who may mean well) that may be constantly observing whether I'm a good mom or not.

Tonight was an eye opener and I'm emotionally drained and very pregnant and tired and it all starts over again at 7AM.

And I wouldn't trade it for the world...Good Night.

Yep....maybe they have shared genome maps. It is a constant struggle. I used to view parents with hellions and wonder why couldn't they "fix" that....why my daughters were such well behaved angels.

Well pardner....G-d has sent me this little wonder of a lad to teach me something. I hope this will pass.....soon.

OTOH, if he's a teen like I was....it's either karma or divine providence and I am sure my dad will be looking down from above ROTFLHAO.

Regards and Good Night.

We are not enemies Babe but we aren't changing our perceptions due to your admonishments so don't go declaring victory just yet. We just don't want trouble from busybodies. Yep....that's a bigger fear to me not the kidnappers you allude to. Ain't nobody snatching my kids within 10 yards of me while I'm looking at them unless they put me down and if they really wanted to snatch my kids they are gonna do that even if I'm sitting in the car.

Your admonishments are well intentioned to be sure and you deserve credit for that as well as not flaming us on the corporal punishment issue.

I hope your experiences with your own children go splendidly. How many do you have? I notice oddly that your profile page has no mention. Most mommies and grandmommies on this forum proudly advertise such facts on their profile page.

Warm regards....I'm not pregnant but I am drained. I'll be up early tommorow as well since Saturdays are always work days for me. Six days per week on average. With a widowed mom, an erstwhile little brother, a wife, an ex-wife with a huge settlement(mid 5 figures per annum) and now I'm soon to be father to four children, there's no rest for the wicked in my case. I may be negligent or make bad choices in your mind's eye, but I am responsible.

Because I wish to God someone had called the cops when that was being done to me some thirty-five years ago. Maybe the cops would have taken me away from that psycho b!tch, and I could have had something resembling a childhood instead of the hellish nightmare I got to grow up in.

Thanks for your post. I'm getting tired of hearing how the state is evil if they separate children from abusive parents; it's good to hear from the voice of one of the abused.

Take two doubles and call me in the morning.

Seriously, that does sound like crap. The same know it all "moms" who don't want you to spank your son have teenage sons with spikes through 5 parts of their faces, a tattooed anarchist symbol on their forehead, wear their baggies down below their crotches, blast "F-You" rap in the car up to the house, and flip "mom" the bird if she says a word.

this nation really is dividing into at least two peoples. I'm glad our side has guns.

Are you so brainwashed by PC nonsense that you think a child is in danger in a car seat in a Suburban 20 feet from his parents in sight through a plate glass window?

What yould your intervention have consisted of? Citizens arrest? Call 911? What?

Let's not all lose our common sense, the way the second hand smoke Nazis have who scream in hysteria if someone lights up within 100 feet after 20 years of effective brainwashing.

Amen brother...amen. I've already indulged in a benadryl. My poor wife is about ready to pop and got really frustrated and humiliated over this experience. If I had known after viewing this thread today that tonight would happen like this I would have stayed home. We were up near Ft Campbell checking out car washes for ideas....I'm in contract now.

Thanks...

I'll be online collecting rent at the office in the morning. Raining cats and dogs all weekend here...finally about to get cooler...finally. That's good news. My tasmanian devil is of course now sleeping the sleep of princes with nary a red splotch on his behind after his "abuse". We may lose this country you know.

It takes only a few seconds for a hijacker to steal your vehicle, even if locked.

Oh please. Now I know you are a hysteric.

Total agreement. Kidnappers and carjackers, Mr. Ruger and Mr. Gerber and I can deal with them.

But the legions of shrill hysterical brainwashed PC zombie Stepford Wife Oprah n' Katie watching do-gooders.... they scare the hell out of me.

My bet is that she expected she'd be able to return (probably stolen) merchandise and was thwarted. The money
she thought she'd get from this was most likely earmarked
for a cardboard boxful of booze. That's why this lowlife was irritated enough to take it out on the little girl who is unlucky enough to be her daughter.

I'm simply curious. To all those on here who are angry and willing to beat up this woman for what she did: If you saw this happening in front of you, in a store, or wherever, and not on tape, what would you do? I'm just curious to know what the typical person would do if confronted with this for real, instead of having the security and relative anonymity of the Internet to shield you from the reprocussions of, say, suggesting this woman be beaten up herself. In other words, would anyone here really beat up on the woman, if confronted with this situation in real life?

I would constrain her until the authorities arrived. I would not beat her up. I wouldn't mind beating up her attorney, though.

Thank you for sharing your story...I too have encountered "nosey-do-gooders" who think that a swat or two on the diapered bottom is akin to the beating that we've seen on this video. And yes, overly permissive parents often (but not always) turn out to have horrid teenagers, who act out because they don't know their boundries. I wish I was close enough to offer to baby-sit, sounds like you both could use a long night out (without the kids). Hang in there, it does get easier...I made it thru' (3 kids in 6 years--youngest was a "surprise" baby) and my kids (who were all disciplined; time outs, spanked at times, grounded, etc.) have turned out to be fine young adults.

Thanks...we are better this morning but still frustrated and alarmed. It was one of the most unusual things(in a bad way) that's ever happened to me as a parent. Giving spanking are still rather new to me, since my daughters were so much more compliant at that age. I spanked them maybe 5 times each when young (under age 7 or 8). My son...either my wife or myself could spank him almost daily if we had the heart for it....we refrain more often than not.

Of course, when I was a boy (35 years ago), everybody got spankings or worse....whippings. I have promised myself not to go the whipping route nor to slap as was also common back in the dark ages when I was raised. I never whipped or slapped my girls. Now, we have to be on guard for do-gooder Nazis calling the cops to report you if you spank. It is absolute nuttiness. These same folks would probably report you if you teach your children morality creeds that they find politically incorrect or G-d forbid, you instruct your children in the safe respect and use of firearms when they are old enough.
And everyone thinks it's only the religious right trying to impose behavior standards on everyone.
There are of course those wonderful little angels that never need any discipline. Likewise, behavior is not entirely a learned thing. Some kids are simply born more strong willed and fearless than others. My son gets it naturally from many ancestral sources....including both his parents.

Warm Regards.

If i heard you making dahmer jokes i would probably projecticle vomit in your direction - think you sick and a new york stereotype, and leave quick.

If you had enough intelligence to write complete, coherent sentences in grammatically correct English I might actually be able to understand what you are talking about.

I apologise for assuming!
Overly emotional thread.
What you further describe is horrid. Sometimes i wonder what stewards, stewardesses are *for* on planes anymore! If that had been my kid, God forbid, we would have been sitting in an empty back seat, or in the bath room until child was calm. Shame on that parent - and i am sorry for your wife :-(

Thanks.....and a warning to all the youngsters on this forum waiting till their mid 30s or so to have a family:

I'm almost 45. My wife is 37. Our parents are too old or have passed on so we have a scarcity of babysitters. Fortunately we have a nice Christian College nearby (David Lipscomb) and the girls we've hired through their service are top notch but after tips and all it's about 10 bucks an hour. Grandparents are much cheaper...lol.

It's just one of those little things we never thought about much till the aforementioned hellion came along. Hellion #2 (I'm assuming so given his genome map) is due anyday in the next month. He is gonna be a bit early we both suspect.

My two early teen daughters were a snap as toddlers. Now at 13 and 14...lol...well you know what I mean. Aside from holidays, I have to either bribe them or lay a big guilt trip to get them enthusiastic about visiting from my ex-wife and husband-in-law. I hate bribing kids. Teenagers know no other universe than the one between their ears....they also think everyone is "looking at them".....especially girls.
