Heyerdahl took risks, but had many adventures and experiences we can only read about.
It seems ages ago that I read Heyerdahl. The only part that stuck with me about Kon-Tiki was his eating the flying fish that landed on his raft.

In retrospect, he beat the sushi craze by a good 30-35 years!

Can't imagine eating raw fish, but I guess if you're hungry enough..........I even have restaurants burn my salmon. But he really did prove that the ancients were far more clever than we gave them credit for.
