PBS had a running series on Lighthouses of the US and it was extremely entertaining and well done-probably available commercially now. They devoted some time to the Fresnel lens-glad to see that a part of history has been recovered intact.

There are many lighthouses in the US that are for sale. I am sure there are some pretty cool ones that an older retired couple would restore and make wonderful homes.
