To me, the most powerful metaphor we have is that land needs people to care for it in perpetuity; that nature, by itself, cares not a whit if the planet is sterile. Man has always been, and always will be an indispensible element of the living web.

So, we ask the landowners how we can help and what they need. We go to Florida to weed, to prune, to garden the land that God gave us. If you take tools, please be certain that they are new, or decontaminated, or perhaps intend them as a gift. Phytophthora is that serious a problem.

Anything we would do would be transitory, it is true, and that is as it should be. The need of the land to be loved is an ongoing thing to be passed on to those who follow.

Mark

PARKFAN (me) is coordinating this movement in Tracy and we need a photographer with a digital camera--any Freeper out there with this equipment and expertise to document this event???? If we do this right, we may get in the history books for taking back our national freedoms based on our right to safely own and keep our own land.

What about a symbolic flag build like the AIDS flag. Each group that's under fire for property takings can make their own (specify size so they all fit together) appropriately themed flat. Darby's could be farm, Klamath could be farm, others would be forested areas/etc. They'd mostly probably be farms tho which would bring home the idea that these guys are destroying the farmer and farms we need to feed the US and anybody else that might be hungry...just a thought.

What about everyone bringing an envelope addressed to Gail Norton and in the envelope is a tiny little tea bag. They could/would all be mailed from that Postal code so she'd know they originated from the sawgrass rebellion. Or some variation on this theme.

LOL

I dunno, I'm not one of the "ideas" guys. My #45 was intended for FReepmail, the mods should be removing it soon (I do that all the time).

Thanks in advance Mr. Mod.

I like that idea, our own private "tea party". Would be really great if everyone used different sized envelopes and put their address and postage on it.

Could keep the staff in that office to busy opening envelopes to do anything. When they are doing nothing we are much safer.

I really liked that quilt idea but I think we will be short of time unless there is a Betsy Ross in the convoy.

The lady leading the convoy to Tracy from Sonoma suggested signing on the state flag for each state we pass thru. When we get to Florida they can display all the state flags supporting them. Powerful? Politically correct? Offend anyone? FLAGS FLYING FOR FLORIDA has a nice ring. 23 flags flying impressive!

States not on convoy route could mail flag to SR.

Pick it apart--see if there are any flaws in this idea. Improve on it! This is fun!!! You guys can think up great things!

Oh I like the idea of them too busy with envelopes to mess with my property. The farm Bureau and Farm Bill 2002 is trying to force a Resource Conservation and Development plan down our throats. We scream and they report a few farmers expressed a few concerns (in fact we asked how to disengage our property from their help and protection!) This puts a council of stakeholders over our property uses--not one member of their council is a property owner in a council covering five very divergent counties!

I think you will have to do that for yourself, I am not sure how it works but did find the page you need to read for a start.

Can't you see all those state flags flying in Florida supporting those people? What a sight to see--run those flags up one after the other, state after state, showing support for these people. Powerful.

You know something, that really is a great idea. I'm not kidding either.

We should start spreading that one around. I'll start spreading it around tommorow after I get some sleep.

You have to make Tracy! We may be able to find a huge Bill of Rights poster for people to sign and send back with the flags.

Parkfan,

Remember to have someone check each states law about desecration of their flags.

I am not sure if the federal law on that over rides state laws.

NSpiritOnly now Spirit only N Texas.
