This is the first I've heard of a patrol car being right beside the toll booth. Truth or another lie?

At one of the press conferences on Friday, the police spokesman said the officer was stationed at the toll stop because of the BOLO when the Honda went through without paying.

He said the officer in the patrol car knew it was one of the cars he was on the lookout for and called for backup. He said the backup arrived shortly AFTER he had pulled the first car over and the second car had pulled in behind.

What a dangerous position that officer was in! It took a great deal of courage to approach the first car with the other car behind.

ME: NO, DUMMY that was not the question! -- and Linda did not get a chance to follow up on this -- Capped One claims he agreed to answer any question, the cops reported that they were "uncooperative" Car search was not even mentioned until the lawyer butted in.

Thanks for so much for this info. I can just see it happening, and that first patrolman was one more courageous guy. Interesting, isn't it, that it was 8 miles down the road before they stopped.....patrolman keeping them in sight until his backup arrived, I hope.

A common tactic. They can say what they want to the press because lying to them isn't lying to an FBI officer - a federal offense, I believe. ACLU teaches them about their "rights" to be uncooperative, but not their moral obligations to be cooperative.

I was also hoping that was the reason he went eight miles before pulling him over.

One of the law enforcement commentators said later that drug runners often use two cars. The first one blows the toll as a diversion so the car with the drugs gets by unnoticed.

He also said the most dangerous situation for police officers is a traffic stop at night when they are alone.

I have developed a knack for speed cleaning between posts.....

If you're really pressed for time, walk into the bathroom closest to the front door, and pour some Pine Sol into the toilet. Then walk out of the bathroom and spray a little Windex into the air. Return to bathroom and flush the PineSol.

I did this once. First words out of his mouth were "Have you been cleaning?", to which I shrugged and replied, "ehh...a little..."
