Joined the United States Air Force at age 17. Served in two wars (Korea and Vietnam). Tail gunner on B-29s; Boomer on KC-97s and KC-135s. Retired September 1974 after 22 years of faithful service to his country. RIP dad. I really miss you. You were the most decent, honest, and honorable man I have ever known. I will never be half the man (or father) that you were.
I love you.

Good Morning. Actually I am finishing my third cup and getting ready to hit the shower and off to work. The Army says we get more done by 9:00 (0900) than most people do all day and it is about 90% true.

Very sorry for your loss; he sounds like a good man.

Gotta tell ya, it's always a proud moment when I drive over the Coronado bridge and see our massive fleet docked along the harbor here in San Diego.
The first weekend I moved out here this summer I went down to the water and watched one of the ships leave for a tour. It was really amazing seeing the guys/gals standing on the deck of ship as it passed by all the boats and sailboats in the harbor.
Thank you for all you do!

I can't believe you are awake at this hour! :) The alarm will be going off in 2 hours for my kids to get ready for school! You are a better woman than I am Gunga Din (or is that Gunga Dinina? Gunga Dinette?)! See how I get after midnight? Goofy!
Hugs,

Dear Skooz,
You and your family are in my prayers. My husband, a former bomber pilot, can certainly appreciate what your father did as a gunner and a boomer (so can I, but from a different perspective), and we both are grateful for his service.
We are sorry for the loss of a fine man and dedicated father.
