An account from Kamran Khan of The News and published by the Balochistan Post adds further fuel to the controversy of whether in fact Ramzi bin al-Shibah has been arrested. Mujahideen sources in phone conversations with the news agency Jehad Online said Ramzi bin el Shebah "is with us" and that both he and Khaled Sheikh Muhammad are still at large. Jehad Online, which has close contacts to the Mujahideen, have challenged the authorities in a news report to show bin el Shebah in a video tape and to disprove what they called solid information that el Shebah has not been captured.

A few things need to be considered here. It is interesting that the man authorities claim is el Shebah appears in press photos of the supposed capture with his face covered, as both men do in the Al-Jazeera documentary Top Secret, The Road to September 11th, apparently produced from an interview conducted in person with the two men in Karachi by an Al-Jazeera reporter and that included audio segments by Ramzi bin el Shebah. Jehad Online insists the interview between bin el Shebah and Khaled Sheikh Muhammad with Al-Jazeera’s Yousri Fouda in fact never happened. In close examination, the documentary only contains short audio segments by Ramzi ben el Shebah, yet does not include either audio or video by Sheikh Muhammad. Furthermore, the Mujahideen insist that this audio tape by bin el Shebah was recorded independently and was sent to Al-Jazeera along with another tape which contained the last will of Abu Al-Abaas Al-Omari. As I remarked to my wife, I don't understand how American women go for these creeps like they do (when I was in college years ago, every Middle Eastern male had two or three American chicks on his string).

This will get me in trouble with both bible thumpers and women's libbers, but here goes:

If you believe in evolution and natural selection, there are valid reasons for this. There have been some interesting studies that show that female promiscuity with strangers is a commonplace occurrence in many different species (especially apes and monkeys.)

It is to a women's advantage to play the faithful wife within the extended family and village community, where she is rewarded with security for herself and her children, with material benefits provided by the sweat of a man's brow. But it is also to her advantage and that of her tribe if she has a fling now and again with a passing stranger, mixing her genes in another assortment that increases her chance of passing them on to her descendants. Hybrid vigor and all that.

Of course, guys, none of us know any women like this, do we?

I would hope the FBI/CIA/NSA/et al know about most of these sites, and are on the look-out all the time.

Actually, most of the women I know in this situation didn't think of it as a "fling," but as the "real thing."

Many of them--my sister was one, briefly, before the guy left her--marry these creeps.

NOTE: I'm not saying all Middle Eastern men are "creeps". I know quite a few of them, fine gentlemen.

But the CREEPY ones--and I've known quite a few of them--who have this callous attitude toward women (and a lackadaisical attitude toward personal hygiene) nevertheless don't seem to have any problem getting the "white chicks."

To me, it makes as much sense as setting your cap for the bum that lives under the freeway overpass. These are seriously strange dudes.
