Okay? Tell me what would happen if we eliminated the Food Stamp program tomorrrow? I have my asbestos suit on so flame away if you wish! (Would not the churches, synagogues and mosques pick up the slack?) I mean what did we do before Food Stamps?

I believe welfare should be stopped, especially to felons. That said, why does California and other states give benefits to illegal aliens, including schooling, medical benefits, housing, etc.? It seems rather odd that they would then deny benefits to folks on drugs. Is it because the druggies are US citizens?
