Plates were legal. Some screw up in Illinois. Ah. Thanks for the confirmation. Now we have to wonder about the toll booth. Any indication they might be militia nutcases, those who think traffic stops and toll booths are a 'Constitutional crisis'?

Now we have to wonder about the toll booth.
Someone who claimed to have lived down there called in today to a local radio station and said the toll booths are pretty screwed up. They've got an electronic pass system, and there will usually be at least one lane that is strictly for that (no coin basket). He said the lane is sometimes in the left lane, but at the next toll stop it'll be in the right lane. Sometimes in the middle. He said if you're not paying attention, you could end up in that lane with no way out. Since the speed limit is 70, you wouldn't even be able to slow down without getting rear-ended.
If true, they simply could have gotten in that lane, and rather than slam on the brakes, they just went on through.
I've gotten trapped in the I-pass lane a couple of times here on the Chicago tollways because I wasn't paying attention or because of backed up traffic. All I could do was drive on through and hope I didn't get a ticket in the mail.

Ah. Thanks for the confirmation. Now we have to wonder about the toll booth.Wasn't there a second car that picked up the tab for the first? I heard something like that, but I can't remember where.
