"What happened to the stolen-license plate story leaked to the media by "Law Enforcement Sources"?"

The plates were reported as not belonging to the car - making it a possiblity that the car was stolen.

They were traced back to someone in Chicago and it was verified later in the day that the plates were originally on another vehicle and there was a snafu in the plate transfer. The Police were NOT lying!!!

What about the possibility that the cops had an outdated computer database?

OH,no, the cops had to leak a premature story to the media vultures.

Such a professional behavior by cops, convincting people on the media by innuendo and speculation.
