NAPLES, Florida (CNN) --The Georgia woman who prompted Friday's terror scare was "flat-out lying" when she told authorities she overheard three Muslim men at a restaurant laughing about September 11 and making suspicious comments, one of the men said late Friday.

Give all of them lie detector tests.

Even though the Muslims are lying, they will probably pass. Click on the link in reply #60. It's an eye-opener.

Seems even stranger since I heard before that they said they were just joking, now they deny it?

Not a flame, but as I wrote in my post 253 above, I wasn't able to find any quote attributed to any of the men where they themselves said they were playing a joke. The only references to a joke or hoax came from the Stone woman or the authorities who were investigating her claims.

Do you have a reference to your assertion?

Gheith added: "I have one message, I think it's time for us as Americans to put down our big sticks and pick up our books and read about other people and read about what they believe before we jump to conclusions."

I've been reading newspapers, books and watching TV accounts of continuous terrorism, by arabs-muslims-palestinians from 1972 to present.

The facts are facts, and we don't need any "al Taqiyah" lies, from supporters of terrorism. The conclusion which this lady "jumped" to is entirely justified.

Lock them up in internment camps, for our safety (and theirs, perhaps). "For the duration." Then let's see if they think pranks are funny.

If they really don't want to be seen as terrorists they wouldn't dress the part.

But if they were terrorists they wouldn't dress the part either. In the cold light of day, these guys were just dumb enough not to think about where they were and how they should behave. They deserve what they got.

Not a flame, but do you have a reference or cite for a quote from them saying that they were playing a joke? Beyond what the woman claims they said, of course.

So far, I've been unable to find one.

"truth seeker"? It's not a seeking of truth to either innuendo all Muslims as terrorists, OR to hush it up.

"Well, I hope Stan buys us lunch. He can afford to feed four guys, can't he? It's the least he can do; we're moving that piano down four floors, for Allah's sake."

Then Stone hears one of the men ask "Do you think ...

Do you think you can make up the rest of the conversation there are said to have had about weeping on 9/11 and wait 'till they see 9/13?

Now we have to wonder about the toll booth.

Someone who claimed to have lived down there called in today to a local radio station and said the toll booths are pretty screwed up. They've got an electronic pass system, and there will usually be at least one lane that is strictly for that (no coin basket). He said the lane is sometimes in the left lane, but at the next toll stop it'll be in the right lane. Sometimes in the middle. He said if you're not paying attention, you could end up in that lane with no way out. Since the speed limit is 70, you wouldn't even be able to slow down without getting rear-ended.

If true, they simply could have gotten in that lane, and rather than slam on the brakes, they just went on through.

I've gotten trapped in the I-pass lane a couple of times here on the Chicago tollways because I wasn't paying attention or because of backed up traffic. All I could do was drive on through and hope I didn't get a ticket in the mail.

Seriously, everone go to this website Milia sent and vote for the
Prophet, Peace Be Upon Him. I just went and voted and apparently,
Alhumdullilah the most votes are for the Prophet (PBUH) right now, at
20,352. Second place is Jesus, with 5,026. So we're way ahead but the
more the better.
I also want to point out a very important thing. Many of you will
think that we don't need to worry about some stupid vote to prove or show
anyone that Prophet Muhammad, Peace Be Upon Him is really "Number One".
Agreed. However, stop and think for a minute that the amount of
people around the world that are influenced by these same magazines,
programs, and surveys will also think that "Hey, how did this person win?
What's so special about them...etc etc". So the idea is that this is also
a way, (a big way), to attract people's attention to Islam and to what
the religion is all about, rather than them being bogged down by
stereotypes they hear from the media, etc. So please go and vote at this
website:

Joking about terrorism in public (as opposed to a deliberate hoax, which this may not be) is not against the law. It is in incredibly bad taste and may result in police investigation, but it is not against the law.

As I've written above, we only have her assertion that they made these statements and that they may have been joking.

Not a flame, but do you have a cite where the men themselves are quoted as saying that they were playing a joke?

So far, I've been unable to find one.

Someone said they should go to jail for it. If it really was the two guys kidding (and maybe both they and the woman are fudging the truth, or just maybe our wonderful accurate media is getting it wrong again) but not a hoax, then it wasn't illegal though it was suspicious as h*ll.

I assume you keep posting this name so that we know it's the same guy mentioned in the story? (Do we know for a fact that it's the same guy?)

Okay, but where does it say that he was plotting to blow anything up on Sep 13 or that he was joking about doing so. The only thing I found in what you posted was that he wanted to build support for his religion through an online poll.

I'm looking for quotes from these men that they were joking in such a way that this Stone woman would overhear them. So far, I've found nothing but her claims or statements from the authorities citing her claims.

What was suspicious? That three muslims stopped in a diner and ate some food?

The only claims of a terrorist act, joke or hoax seem to be coming from one source --the woman.

If you have a quote attributed to the men themselves saying that they were playing a joke on the woman, I'd love to see it.

Her son was with her and the fact that everything that she told LE checked out. I suppose you think that she just decided one day to pick on ME men because of how they looked? Well, she also is a nurse and she said that she worked for a Pakinstani family who would support that she is not a racist.

Why should I believe the three men who seem to be more than a little arrogant(even to law enforcement) because they could have cleared it all up the first hour after they were detained by telling LE where they were headed. Instead they decided to NOT give out any information that could have cleared up the whole situation in the first place. That seems a little strange to me.

I would have spilled my guts by giving them every telephone number and contact that I had had to prove that I was telling the truth. Their story STINKS to high heaven, IMO. Now they're claiming (as are their family members that we are all racists) Yes, that's exactly what one of the guy's sister told CNN. So in that logic I suppose they are all terrorist. See, they want it both ways.
