All of that is easier said than done. If a GOP candidate talks about illegal immigrants, no matter how much legal residents might agree with him, he'll be attacked by the Demediacrat Party as a racist. And it won't matter how eloquent his arguments are, he simply won't he allowed to voice his opinion. There are certain issues in CA politics that Republicans have learned to avoid. Illegal immigration is one of them. Given how well Prop. 187 did in the Latino community, you'd think that Republicans would feel safe on that issue. But that's not the case. The Demedias are too good at demagoguing the issue. They've proven since 187 that they can con the Latino electorate into thinking that they disagree with the GOP just long enough win an election.
