[history]
Sen. Paul Wellstone, Minnesota Democrat, has withdrawn a fund-raising ad from a Web site that denigrates President Bush's response to the terrorist attacks on September 11.
The Minneapolis Star Tribune reports that Democrats.com, a Web site co-founded by a former staffer in the Clinton White House, reproduced a picture of Mr. Bush talking on the phone on September 11, and sponsored a contest for the best caption indicating what Mr. Bush may have been saying.

Bush played this so well.

What did Bush do?
By the way, on 9/11 on Brit Hume's show I think it was Fred Barnes who mentioned a recent poll showing Coleman over Wellstone, 44-40%. I have not been able to locate it, if he was indeed correct. Any help would be appreciated.

I heard this on local (Minneapolis) talk radio last night and when I tried accessing this site this morning, it is gone...a bit odd I thought...

No, but there was an article here within the last couple of days naming Wellstone as one of a number of threatened incumbents.

"But Dick, I soiled my pants when I learned about the attacks, so please just let me come back to Washington for a change of underwear." Ooooh, what an astute and intelligent response! Hi-larious! Poo-poo is always a winner when it comes to comedy. Well, in the second grade, at least.

Norm Coleman has to take advantage of this.

Everything associated with Wellstone is an embarrassment. I remember him meeting GHWB as junior senator from Minnesota and, during a highly publicized (and televised) social greeting attempting to castigate him about some matter of foreign affairs. After being one of several junior senators shaking the president's hand, GHWB turned to the aide next to him (with the microphone off) and clearly mouthed the words "Who is that chicken shit?". His voting record is a conservative's nightmare. He ran on the conditions of term limits and then withdrew that promise when his term was up. He is one of the stupidest people in the Senate. I hope he gets trounced this fall. It is am embarrassment having him represent Minnesotans.

Have you ever noticed that Democraticunderground.com is nothing but a bunch of silly photoshop pictures and jokes. They really don't discuss much in the political sence, just a bunch of name calling and doodlings. Its really sad how bankrupt those losers are. I have a alias over there that I have up to 90 posts so far. I slowly insert divisive comments and learn what the Left is up to these days. I nearly have to toss my lunch after a good 30 mins of being there.

About 12 months ago, I experimented with the site and was banned after 1 post. Stupidity that virulent is contagious. Stay away from there.

...I nearly have to toss my lunch after a good 30 mins of being there. Unlike Freeperville, where one stop on a Chelsea thread will have you tossing after only 4 minutes.

if that doesn't get you sick check this one out... wait I wont go there. The entire site is a complete joke.
If you can believe it I used to work with these types of people. I just quit my job as a full time employee at this company and now Im a contractor from home. Why? because I couldn't stand it anymore to be around those dorks. (Im not kidding) They would be on DU all the time. The conversations at the weekly Wednesday company lunch were lets say interesting.
I am a IT guy. Im sure there still wondering why they cant get any thing related to DU, democrats or liberals in e mails or web at the office any more ;-)
Why because I dont let them. Wha hahahahaha
