September 13, 2002 -- A Jordanian student who was indicted for allegedly lying about his links to a Sept. 11 hijacker is now suing the feds, claiming he was falsely arrested and maliciously prosecuted.
A lawyer for California college student Osama Awadallah said yesterday the 21-year-old has a strong case, due to a ruling in May by a New York federal judge who found that Awadallah was detained illegally.

The Judge is a Clinton appointement to the bench and an abomination: I suppose the rule of law means nothing to you? It's not a crime to know someone. It's not a crime to own a boxcutter.
They never should have arrested him in the first place. This judge made the correct ruling: everything after the faulty arrest is inadmissable.

...I should add that the situation kind of sucks because he is probably guilty of something. But don't blame the judge - blame the cops that screwed up (yet again).

You can probably beat the rush by setting up a
"Eunice Stone defense fund" now.
Send all these bastards packing and we'll not have these problems.

Awe, boo-freekin'-hoo. Too g-d bad. So what, if these people are start suing that means Cops and Agents are gonna stop apprehending? Mistakes will be made. Deal with it. You wanna sue, sue your fellow Islamisists. Sue Iraq, Iran etc. for sponsering terrorism. Or just LEAVE our country.

I haven't read enough about what happened. The question I'd like answered is 'why did they arrest him in the first place?' If they had probable cause then the judge is wrong.
Why did they arrest him?

I personally think the Florida guys should be sent to Gitmo and this clown suing the Feds should be lucky his terror supporting ass has been deported. The number in the Hijackers car is enough to get him sent to Gitmo,IMHO, but a Clinton appointee appears more worried about offending a muslim than doing the right thing and prosecuting his fifth column butt. PC is killing this country.

A Jordanian student That's enough for me. Add to that the fact that he has photos of Osama, and an associate of terrorists.
There is no reason to extend to non-citizens the rights and privileges of citizenship, in order to give them the potential latitude to attack and kill Americans. What has this raghead done to deserve those privileges? Has he worn a uniform? Paid taxes? Renounced his foreign citizenship and sworn loyalty to the U.S? Screw him. He has no rights.

PC is killing this country. It's not just muslims. All kinds of innocent people have been getting their doors kicked in for years. I'm ready to see the police finally play by the rules. That's all I mean - I could give a damn about muslims.

I agree that some police over step their bounds to US citizens. But it really galls me this non-citizen is suing the Government for something he should have been deported for. Times changed after 9/11. The bottom line is; innocent until proven guilty just doesnt apply to Foreign muslims. Fair? Probably not. But concern in my opinion for a Jordanian whose phone number showed up in a 9/11 hijackers car, is misplaced.

Simple: Just deport him immediately.

In my opinion, 'innocent until proven guilty' should apply to anyone we wish to incarcerate. It should not apply to foreigners we want to deport.
The government's answer to his lawsuit is simple: deport him. He'll fail to prosecute his case and that will be the end of it.
