He said that Homeland Security was not something that we could afford to wait on until the next Congress convenes in January/February, and that Dubyuh would VETO any legislation that hasn't given the POTUS the flexibility that he has been requesting, and if there was a VETO, Dubyuh would apply the necessary pressure to keep Congress in session to pass an acceptable bill.

Is that how y'all heard it, frmrda and antivenom?!

I understood it as VETOING the bill until he gets it right...I can not swear it was stated he would keep them through a reccess to get it...but hey...I am wrong half the time (thank goodness I am right the other half....whheeewww)...

I would absolutely love to see the President demand that they stay in Washington until they get it right! President Bush is right on this and he should not give in. Thanks for the clarification. Bush is even tougher than I thought he would be!
