To: Lance Romance
In the late 1800s and early 1900s, women journalists fought uphill battles for the opportunity to write "hard news" -- the breaking stories of the day -- for their papers. Usually, they were hired for the old society sections or women's pages. Was she describing her entry into journalism? I can only read so much of her ranting.

I'll have to look at the article but it appears they've forgotten women who made the break from journalism in newspapers to Television - like Martha Rountree who started "Meet the Press".
