The only thing I heard, was that it hit a rock and exploded. Sounds a little strange to me and their press are not like western press. Sounds to me like they were shooting an action scene for a movie.... Lots of things blow up in film that usually don't blow up in real life. ;-)

Lots of things blow up in film that usually don't blow up in real life. ;-) Reminds me of a scene in the movie "Top Secret", where a cheaply made foreign car very gently nudges the bumper of a rugged German-made car, and instantly explodes. Dateline NBC must have drawn inspiration from this scene.
