No he doesn't, not even close.
On the thread in question he tried to tell someone that Sadam Hussein wasn't a muslim. I asked him to clarify. Did he mean he wasn't a muslim like Ted Kennedy isn't a Catholic? That is obviously true. But no, pete claimed he was part of a fringe sect, or something to that matter.
After he explained himself, I pointed out that Saddam and the minority Baath party was Sunni muslim, as opposed to the majority of Iraqis who are Shiite muslims. Pete had no idea what I was talking about. Now how on the ball can he be, and since you can't get far into a thread on the midlle east without him spouting his theories, if he doesn't even know the difference between Sunni and Shiite, and the division in Iraq?
That is like someone lecturing on nuclear weapons that doesn't know what an atom is.
He also tried to tell someone that Norman Schwarzkopf said that "we don't need to go to war with Iraq", when he only "urged caution". He also said that the majority of "senior officers in the military" felt the same way.
That kind of stuff is reprehensible.
I'm sorry Laz, but I don't agree with you on this one.
Still, a man's gotta know his limits....
