Alec "The Bloviator" Baldwin is pitching a bizarre plan for Ground Zero: Build a new Yankee Stadium there. The underemployed actor even tried to corner Mayor Bloomberg at the U.S. Open to tell him about his plan, writes Philip Van Munching in the new issue of Brandweek magazine. "Baldwin's plan, plain and simple, is to give George Steinbrenner the one thing Rudy Guiliani couldn't : a Manhattan address for the New York Yankees. A baseball staduim built on the 16 acres that once held the World Trade Center. A Memorial Staduim, if you will, which would house an actual memorial that would be open to tourists year-round....A vibrant place that would stand in permanent tribute to the thousands who lost their lives." No word on whether anyone besides Van Munching is taking Baldwin's improbable idea seriously.

This item falls into the catagory of things you could not make up.
We really don't need anymore reasons to think Baldwin is an A-hole, but add this to the file.

Why no link to the article?
This sounds like a story from the onion.
It's hard to believe that even Alec Baldwin is this stupid.

A gnat on a camel's behind has more common sense than Alec Baldwin. A baseball stadium over Ground Zero--only a despicable person could even think of a thing that disrespectful. And only a despicable person would threaten the lives of a US Congressman and his family on national television.

Balwin has brand new brains.

Why no link to the article? I have the hard copy of the Sunday NY Post, which goes on sale Saturday night, and I took this item straight from that.
But this is for real. The story just hit the online version of the Post.
The link is right here

They said it best on FNC this morning: Adam "Are You Done Yet?" Baldwin.
He needs to leave. Now.

Baldwin is a nut, a crack-pot. And the older he gets, the crackier he gets. I think he's going to wind up in a straightjacket one of these days.

Makes more sense than building 110-story death traps.Yes, I agree, let's run away and hide from those evil, nasty Muslims fanatics.
Let's make them think we are cowards and feckless.

BTW, When we build these death traps again, 111 stories is a good starting point.

That picture of Alec in #7 makes nerds look handsome.
Recipe for a Liberal with a Terrific Temper for losing a beautiful wife:
- Take one wife (about 5'11") out in public
- Sprinkle with generous amounts of ridicule and humilation
- Add clenched fists and simmer well
- Saute own liver in bourbon
- Scream: "I TELL YOU AND TELL YOU AND TELL YOU--AND YOU DON'T LISTEN!!!!
