The Clintons are very evil people. This premeditated bit of prevarication on the part of Bubba Rex is targeted quite narrowly at establishing Hillary Regina and BR as 'voices of reason' on the Iraqi matter so as to stay in the news. This is all about grooming HR for an executive office gambit. She will make a back room play for a VPOTUS 'draft' in 2004.

Bubba Rex is setting up the I-told-you-so scenario. This is far more dangerous than most realize. BR/HR will work to orchestrate a Bush failure through the Clintonian minions still in place.

Specifically: The massive bureaucracy of our republic is still larded with Clintonistas. They will make every effort to undermine an anti-Sadaam assault, if it will help in returning the Clintons to power in some guise. Bubba Rex will not hesitate for a nanosecond to send the order through his Arky mafia network to destroy whatever obstructs the next Clinton path to power. They would certainly compromise any intelligence and worse if they thought it would hurt Bush and help HR/BR.
